My Black Skin

My black Skin

Black is beautiful, as skin
yet billions suffer its illwill.
On cotton or metal,
her contrast though with pride
yet spells no mercy,
nor grace to erring persons.

Synonymous to the grim reaper-Death,
it sucks up good installed deliberately.
Still her gifted children
called by her name,
have soared to great heights of fame.
Albeit black is challenged
in the world of human race.

Deep down in every man
lies naturally an appetite for wrong,
soaked for thousands years in blood,
red with kink hatred.
Thus becoming lethal comes
with little experience.
Ignorantly man paints
an ugly picture of a blessed continent.
Some say if colours represent
the structure existing within,
then black is evil.
Should the future be dark
because my race is black?
